Reeltone is a music player for your own Jellyfin
media server. It is designed to collect nothing about you. We (the developer)
run no servers and receive no data from the app — there is no account with us,
no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
What the app stores, and where
Everything Reeltone stores lives on your device only:
Your server address and login token — saved in the system Keychain so you stay signed in. Used only to talk to your Jellyfin server.
A cache of your library (names and artwork) — so browsing is fast and works offline.
Downloaded music and lyrics — audio files you choose to download and available lyrics, kept in the app's private storage for offline playback.
Installed skins — theme packages you choose to import, kept locally for Reeltone to display.
None of this is transmitted to us. Deleting the app removes all of it.
Who the app talks to
Your Jellyfin server. All browsing, streaming, and playback happen against the server address you enter. Playback progress is reported back to your server (standard Jellyfin behavior) — your data on your server.
LRCLIB (lrclib.net), only for lyrics, only as a fallback. When you view lyrics or save them with downloaded music and your server has none, the app asks the public LRCLIB service for matching lyrics using the track's title, artist, album, and duration. No account, no device identifier, nothing about you — only the song's metadata. Existing downloads may also fetch missing lyrics when the app is online. Saved lyrics can be read offline without contacting LRCLIB.
The app contacts no other services.
Skin workshop
The skin builders on this website run in your browser. Artwork, fonts, and configuration files you open there are processed locally and are not uploaded to us.
Data we collect
None. We have no servers and receive no data. Under Apple's privacy labels,
Reeltone is "Data Not Collected."
Permissions
Local Network — so the app can reach a Jellyfin server on your local network. Not used for anything else.
Children
Reeltone does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes and the new version is posted at this URL.
