Reeltone is a music player for your own Jellyfin
media server. It is designed to collect nothing about you. We (the developer)
run no servers and receive no data from the app — there is no account with us,
no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
What the app stores, and where
Everything Reeltone stores lives on your device only:
Your server address and login token — saved in the iOS Keychain so you stay signed in. Used only to talk to your Jellyfin server.
A cache of your library (names and artwork) — so browsing is fast and works offline.
Downloaded music — files you choose to download, kept in the app's private storage.
None of this is transmitted to us. Deleting the app removes all of it.
Who the app talks to
Your Jellyfin server. All browsing, streaming, and playback happen against the server address you enter. Playback progress is reported back to your server (standard Jellyfin behavior) — your data on your server.
LRCLIB (lrclib.net), only for lyrics, only as a fallback. When you open lyrics and your server has none, the app asks the public LRCLIB service for matching lyrics using the track's title, artist, album, and duration. No account, no device identifier, nothing about you — only the song's metadata. If you never open lyrics, the app never contacts LRCLIB.
The app contacts no other services.
Data we collect
None. We have no servers and receive no data. Under Apple's privacy labels,
Reeltone is "Data Not Collected."
Permissions
Local Network — so the app can reach a Jellyfin server on your local network. Not used for anything else.
Children
Reeltone does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
